Fantasy plays a significant role in our Second Life existence.  Whether we flit about as fairies, jump around as animals, have teeth that shine like vampires, or re-enact the story of Gor, the fun and excitement of fantasy roleplay surrounds us.  Not all of us roleplay, in fact, I rarely do. And I’m a rather benign roleplayer as I’ve never felt that I could excel at what would interest me the most – para-roleplaying. But I still enjoy the world of fantasy and the events that bring some beautiful and interesting clothes, poses, props, and more to help us re-enact just about any story.

This month I found myself walking around the Enchantment event and then over to The Secret Affair.  The theme for this round at Enchantment is Thumbelina.  I remember being a child and reading about little Thumbelina and wondering just how a girl could be so small. I’d wonder how she made it from her little acorn bed, nearly marrying a toad’s son then being pushed to marry a mole she escapes on the back of a sparrow to a land where she finally finds her prince – just her size!  Upon their wedding, she receives wings so she is able to happily fly from flower to flower. Thumbelina met many possible perils, but stays sweet, giving and helpful – such the life of a fairy-tale girl the size of my thumb.

For the Thumbelina round of Enchantment, ROQUAI brings a pose prop that is beautiful, fun and perfect !  This pose prop is an oversized flower and comes in white, pink, and red.  There are 5 pose options and the flower will also give a full perm shape to help your avi fit the prop perfectly.  I also stopped by The Secret Affair and found this cute little outfit from N-Uno which works perfectly with the Plastik Wings I found in my inventory and the cute hair from Tableau Vivant found at this month’s Collabor88.
