Rain 2304

Have you ever wanted to find a sim where the rain falls hard and steady?  A place that might not make sense, but then it must make sense to its creator?  The “2304 Rain” build on the Sankt Moritz sim is one of those places.  The rain pours over the entire surface of the sim.  The only place to get away from it is in side a few of the objects strewn across the sim – either inside a culvert, the entry house, or maybe a couple of other places.  Additionally, you can climb the spiral staircase to a platform high above the sim surface, up above the rain, and have a view of everything.  Squonk Levenque has created this interesting place that provides the rain, the interest, and the thoughtful placement of interesting objects sized both normally and largely, to make you feel at times quite tiny and normal all the same.  Be aware that the rain might cause your viewer fps to drop, especially if you are on ultra and you turn on shadows, but there are areas where you will have some solace from that viewer side lag, and can still snap pics and enjoy the surroundings.  If you are just exploring, there are really no reasons to turn on your shadows.

I want to darken in the skies
“Open the floodgates up
I want to change my mind
I want to be enough
I want the water in my eyes
I want to cry until the end of time

I want to let the rain come down
Make a brand new ground
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Make a brand new ground
Let the rain come down tonight”

Follow the windlight setting that Squonk has set as default which is  Windlight Sky: “[AnaLu] outdoor city weirdlights” and Water: “Glassy”.  But then play a little with other options and see what you can come up with.  It is always fun to ‘paint the sky’ in your own way.  Just get on over to “2304 Rain” and be sure to grab an umbrella while you are there!
